I'm trying to dispute a particular charge with my Capital One credit card but the credit card company is siding heavily with the merchant and asking me to provide documents as evidence that are difficult or impossible to obtain such as " A second opinion on company letterhead from another merchant in the same field that states how the service was defective or did not match the description of your sales invoice ''. They've done this before when the merchant pushed back on the charge dispute and after I tried providing evidence, they immediately closed my case. In this particular case, I got scammed by a shady business called XXXX XXXX ( or XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX ). Their website lead me to believe they can XXXX XXXX when in fact they just sell a useless quiz for {$150.00}. I made the purchase on XX/XX/XXXX and requested a refund when I realized I didn't get what I paid for. The merchant said I should have checked their terms of service and threatened me with collections if I dispute the transaction. I'm not sure what to do at this point because I feel I got scammed but my credit card company is not siding with me.
