I had put in a loan with request with speedy cash. Later that day I got a call from a gentle man claiming to be from speedy cash telling me my loan had be approved but that he needed my account number routing number and online backing username and password. I have gotten a loan before so him asking for my routing number and account number didnt set off any red flags. But then he asked for my online banking in my sign on n password. That got me thinking but then he proceeds to tell me that they are going to send us XXXX $ and once the money arrives in my account that I am not to spend it but to go to my nearest convenience store like XXXX and purchase cards with that money and send it back to him. Once I get that done I will be sent my full asking amount of the loan. That is when I got really suspicious and red flags started to go off all over. As I continued to speak to him my wife called speedy cash and asked them what there loan approval process was and explained I was on the phone at that moment with a gentleman claiming to be a speedy cash approval officer. She said we dont ever ask u to go buy cards and sent it back we must deposit it into ur account that's a scam report him. But I was too late because he already had gotten all my bank information. I then called my bank n closed that account changed all my banking online information and then went straight to my bank to talk to the bank manager. Fortunately my wife caught the red flags faster then I did and immediately told me to hang up change me password to online and call my bank to freeze my account I was lucky. He called from a Kentucky area code with a XXXX XXXX accent said his name was XXXX called me from the number XXXX XXXX XXXX. While i was at my bank closing my account he called me 3 more times. Probably because he was in the process of trying to ruin my account but I had already frozen the acct change all online banking info and didnt answer his first call
