I have had American Express, for twenty years, since completing college, in XXXX. I have never had a problem like this with my two credit cards. The bills were paid, early, each month. However something changed from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. I was admitted to the XXXX. During the stay at the XXXX, my credit cards and checking account numbers were compromised. An assailant was using my bank accounts. There are several criminals with the same phone number. I reported this to the police, the attorney general and to American Express. A criminal made three false payments to my Amex accounts from XXXX to XXXX and they changed my address to one in XXXX, NJ. I believe that the individuals who had stolen my items from security, at the XXXX, from XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX XXXX, started fraudulently damaging my credit and banking accounts. In XX/XX/XXXX, I set up a new checking account to make payments to Amex, however, without a notice, my Amex accounts were cancelled, two days, before the due date. I am a XXXX, I work XXXX and I also sell items to pay for my credit cards each month. I have enough money to maintain my cards. I would like to reinstate both accounts. Again, I have a long standing history with the company, and this problem should not have occurred. What is the best possible way to have the accounts reinstated?
