I, XXXX XXXX, under the penalty of perjury certify and affirm that all forthcoming statements are true. I sent a letter to XXXX disputing 6 accounts as fraud on XX/XX/XXXX via fax with return receipt. After receiving no response after 30 days, I again sent a letter to XXXX on ( XX/XX/XXXX ) via the online CFPB consumer complaint portal. I received notice via that same CFPB portal that XXXX received the dispute letter on ( XX/XX/XXXX ). As of XX/XX/XXXX XXXX responded back to the CFPB complaint stating what has been removed and what has been verified without proof of method of verification used and well after 30 days for the 2nd time. Federal law that protects my rights as a consumer states that credit reporting agencies have a total of 30 days from receipt of a debt validation request to provide proof or remove accounts. XXXX continues to violate my federally protected rights by displaying their disregard for the law by responding after the 30-day threshold. It is now ( XX/XX/XXXX ) and I still have not received a response from XXXX in writing other than a later than 30 day notice through the CFPB online portal. Per the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Section 611 ( a ) ( 5 ), you have 30 days to investigate disputes. If you can not verify the information within the 30 day time period, you must delete all of the disputed accounts from my report. You must now delete the disputed and unverified accounts. Failure to do so can result in a {$1000.00} fine per undeleted item.
