I had fraud charges on my account and when I reached out to capital one they did an investigation and found I was telling the truth. The next step they wanted me to verify my identity which was extremely difficult how they have it set up. They would send me a text link that would never work, then email which I completed the task of sending my id but still I wasnt able to use my card. For 4 months this went on and I emailed my id to them, I faxed my id, I did everything I could but was being punished because there sites werent working. I have struggled with covid 19 and I received no help from this credit card company. They charged me interest plus late fees and I wasnt able to use my card. Why wouldnt they waive some of those fees because I had no idea about the charges in the first place. I couldnt log into my account due to phone number change and fraud but they expected me just to know they were still charging me? And now they wont let me use my account until I pay all the fees in full. This pandemic is still affect me and my family greatly and I received no help from capital one.
