In XX/XX/XXXX, my account was incorrectly reported by Capital One as being closed at my request on XX/XX/XXXX. My most current statement indicates that that the account is restricted. I disputed this report of the account closure with Capital One and the 3 credit reporting agencies. XXXX informed me that they verified this information with Capital One. Capital One suggested I contact the credit bureau. In addition I can't obtain a copy of what I agreed to from Capital One. The link with the agreement I entered into with Capital One in XXXX is no longer active. In one response I was told that I entered into the agreement with a third party vendor. I was later told that I entered into the agreement with Capital One and that it was a verbal agreement. If this was in fact a verbal agreement, I was overcharged on the interest rate and am entitled to a refund for overpayment. I need a straight answer from Capital One.
