Case XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, {$1500.00} was paid via electricians XXXX account to re-wire the electricity at my house. The deposit was {$1500.00} and he charged {$90.00} for tax. Five or so days later he didnt have the money in his account so I called Capital One and was told there was a hold on the payment and I asked for it to be released. By XX/XX/XXXX, the electrician still had not received the money so he asked me to cancel the payment and pay him a different way. So I paid him {$800.00} via a cashiers check on XX/XX/XXXX from my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX account and XX/XX/XXXX for XXXX with the Capital One card to satisfy the deposit for electrical services. A week or so later, XXXX XXXX said that he never received the {$700.00} payment because he had a closed bank account linked to his XXXX account and could not get that money. So I called Capital One again asking for an adjustment so I could pay him a different way. On XX/XX/XXXX, I submitted a XXXX payment for {$720.00} ( includes process fees ) so that he could get the {$700.00} from my credit union account. XXXX XXXX has been paid in full for his services. XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, I paid him {$750.00} each time. The total cost for his services was {$3000.00} and he has been paid in full. However, Capital One claims the money was sent to XXXX XXXX for {$1500.00} and he maintains he never received it. I have been disputing the charges with Capital One, the Credit Bureaus, and tried to with my bank but nothing has happened. Now I owe {$3000.00} in collections.
