My Transunion credit report report has a collections remark on my account as of XX/XX/XXXX XXXX. This belongs to my son who has the same name as me, he is XXXX My son has indicated he uses XXXX XXXX XXXX frequently, evem a few weeks ago. They have not told him there's a balance due. Apparently XXXX XXXX XXXX employed XXXX XXXX to collect the debt. They sent our name to Transunion with a birth date that does not match either my sons or mine. However it had a birth year that matched mine, XXXX. Transunion must have taken this incorrect information and with it showing a birth year of XXXX which matches mine took it upon themselves to put the collections on my report. I called both XXXX XXXX and Transunion. XXXX XXXX was no help. However they told me they sent our name with a different birthday to Transunion. Transunion opened a dispute which may take 30 days. This is clearly a mistake with the collections agency and Transunion. Please help to resolve this matter as soon as possible.
