XXXX XXXX shows a {$6100.00} account with Acima Credit in Utah on my report that I have no knowledge, never authorized, and did not open or obtain. I noticed this in XXXX, XXXX, after the account was opened on XX/XX/XXXX. Opening this account reduced my XXXX XXXX score by about 60 points. I have filed complaints directly with XXXX and Acima and neither seems willing to correct this. Acima has been slow dealing with this and give the impression they do not care or believe me with my complaints. As they instructed, an Identity Theft / Fraud report has been filed with the XXXX XXXX Virginia Sheriffs Dept regarding this. XXXX XXXX is the officer handling this matter. Acima has been provided with a copy of that report. It has been redacted in accordance with Virginia Statutes of personal information not relevant to Acima by the Sheriff 's office. Acima does not accept this as sufficient information. As of today the false account is 30 days plus overdue and it has caused my credit score to fall by about XXXX points in addition the prior decrease. From what I see on XXXX the first due payment on the account was never made.
