XXXX XXXX XXXX purchased my mortgage loan from XXXX XXXX XXXX, an affiliate, in XXXX while the mortgage was in an approved Covid 19 forbearance. During this transition, I was charged two late fees by XXXX XXXX XXXX whom was informed by XXXX XXXX Credit that the charges were inaccurate and therefore should be voided as they were incorrectly added during forbearance. XXXX XXXX failed to do so and then reported my loan as in serious default ( XXXX XXXX ) which in turn has impacted my credit. Federal Law requires If you were current on your mortgage when the CARES Act forbearance was granted, your mortgage servicer is required to report your account as current during the forbearance period to the Credit Reporting Agencies. However this hasn't been the case. I also recall having to address this with XXXX XXXX XXXX ( prior 6 months ) prior to this case at which point they removed it, but have since put it back on my report which has caused potential damages to an ongoing credit application. I have obtained FCRA Counsel and per their request was advised to file complaints with the XXXX and CFPB in addition to any further action that may be taken against said mortgage servicer.
