XX/XX/2020 after attempting to set up an account through annual creditreport.com and through Trans Union directly, I was unable to set up an account. They sent me an email request for identity verification. I submitted to them my Social Security card, my passport, a utility bill and my drivers license photo. XX/XX/2020 I received an email from their fulfillment department stating that they had received my identification documents and they had been excepted. It said that the security lock had been removed from my account. They asked me to give it 5 to 10 minutes before logging back in. I attempted to login to view my credit report and it locked me out and said that I was using the wrong information. Such as user ID or password. XX/XX/2020 I was emailed and told that my login name reset was successful but I was unable to login with the new user name. XX/XX/2020 I was sent an email by Transunion that included a temporary password to login. Again I could not login using the temporary password either. XX/XX/2020 I was sent an email by Transunion that said my login information had been updated. I was not able to login. XX/XX/2020 I received an email from Transunion that said due to security reasons they were required to lock my account because it was set up fraudulently. They said their records indicated that at some point someone in the past or myself indicated to Trans Union that my account may have been set up an error. I myself never contacted Trans Union and said my account had been set up in error ever. They XXXX went on to say that this is something that may happen when a customer enters an incorrect Social Security number when they are attempting to set up their own account. They said that they placed a lock on my account because they were legally required to keep it locked and I would not be able to access my report through the website. However I was able to either requested by mail or by phone. These are the same options that I tried before and I tried them again after that letter/email and again, it took me through the same loop again unable to get my credit report
