My daughter and I bought a used XXXX XXXX and financed it through XXXX XXXX XXXX. Shortly after my husband passed away and my daughter and I had to downsize on vehicles due to loss of husbands income. We voluntarily returned the car. At that point, we could not pay for the vehicle. We had on our credit report that the account received a payment of XXXX after they got car back. So that should have dropped the amount we owed them way down. It was considered closed on XX/XX/XXXX. But since then they have kept adding charges and fees to the account each month. I am talking like anywhere from XXXX to XXXX a month. The current balance says we owe them over XXXX but as of XX/XX/XXXX our balance was XXXX so how could we keep getting charges for the vehicle? I have been trying to dispute this on my credit report for two years. I keep getting the response of Info is accurate and then BAM more charges show up. I have checked with the XXXX and they have hundreds of complaints about this company. They actually have an F rating. One lady 's comment was basically the same as my complaint. My daughters name is even spelled incorrectly on the contract. I am trying to get my life back together and was informed I cant buy a house or rent a house because of this account. I really need some help. I have contacted the Attorney General of NC about this and they sent letter to XXXX XXXX but got no response within the 15 days given to them to respond. HELP ME PLEASE!!!
