I have been trying to raise my credit score in order to purchase a car and a home and I have been charged XXXX twice in the last 5 days for credit reports by Experian as well as other ridiculous charges. After paying off one debt ( I only have 2 ) my credit score has been consistently getting lower rather than higher. I have XXXX hard inquiries and I only recognize maybe two and I can't get a hold of anyone to fix it. Experian charged me for a free credit report not once but twice and the things I have paid off are not showing as positive on my report nor are they adding the extra points. I've also been disputing a collection from 2005 from a utility company and they will not take it off of my report despite disputing it twice yet I can't settle or pay it off because when I call the collection people it is too old to show in their system. Nothing changes after disputes and nothing positive is listed in my credit report only negatives. I never can reach a human. Only recordings. I'm charged for reports that under federal law should be free. And then they tell me it's for other services and fees that I never signed up for and do not want but I'm stuck with because I need these credit reports so I can try to fix them and have a home. I'm a XXXX veteran living with family only because of my credit score and I have no current debt whatsoever. None. The reporting agencies are so vague and have so many ads and other companies offering credit repair XXXX. I just don't get it but I want to understand so I can fix my credit score and have a home and reliable car. Thank you for any help you can give me.
