On XX/XX/2022, I, XXXX XXXX, a natural person, requested Discover Bank on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) portal to provide me with a 1099c form, due to Discover Bank has my account listed as Charge-Off with the amount of {$1200.00} to all the major Credit Reporting Agencies XXXX XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX XXXX XXXX However, Discover Bank has responded on XX/XX/2022 and made it clear Discover Bank CAN NOT provide me, XXXX XXXX, a natural person, with such documentation ( 1099c ) as I requested. Without further ado, as I am investigating this matter, this is a violation pursuant to 26 U.S. Code 7203. Willful failure to file return, supply information, or pay tax. If they are listing the account as a write off and fail to provide the form, pursuant to 26 U.S. Code 6655 is another violation. Best regards.
