I refinanced my home with Penny Mac when interest rates dropped about a year and a half ago. When my Homeowners insurance came due last year on XX/XX/XXXX they had not paid it. I went to my insurance company and paid it myself. I complained to Penny Mac and got nowhere. They assured me this problem would never happen again. This year on the same pattern they did not pay my homeowners insurance yet again. It was due XX/XX/XXXX. I spent hours on the phone with them and was hung up on repeatedly. I again went to pay my insurance myself. This company has terrible customer service. Imagine if my home had suffered a fire or something bad. 2 years in a row they have my escrow money and cant seem to pay my insurance. I then demanded they cancel my escrow account as I have more than the ability to pay my insurance and taxes when they come due. Again I can not tell you the nightmare of what it takes to get these people to actually just do their job. Zero help. Zero accountability. Then after I had paid the homeowners insurance the clowns sent me a letter stating they were going to purchase separate insurance. In the middle of all of this. Penny mac really has not a clue what they are doing.
