I have two accounts that were used fraudulently in 2018. I filed a police report when my wallet was stolen. I have sent 7 letters of dispute including my state id, FTC Identity Theft Report, copies of the police report, and my social security card. This information should have been blocked under FCRA, and after a year and a half of sending certified letters regarding a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX. FCRA says information needs to be blocked in 5 days of receipt of the packet being sent certified mail. The XXXX XXXX XXXX verify it every single time, and nothing gets removed despite being a victim of theft. XXXX sends me a letter over the last 6 times sending a packet saying they want me to resend the same exact packet of information which is so frustrating. I filed a complaint with the CFPB, and they sent it back to be verified to XXXX XXXX instead of resolving the issue. If I do not get a resolution from XXXX, I will file with the XXXX XXXX XXXX and a small claims case in XXXX County. I demand that information be blocked. Total notated " lost or stolen '' in the consumer statement section. This is unacceptable.
