This is my 2nd complaint against Equifax Information Services. I contacted them 4 times prior to filing a complaint on XX/XX/22. Equifax is failing to comply with FCRA Sections 611, 616 & 617. Equifax is reporting an account in error & when I filed a complaint they passed the buck back to the data furnisher & closed the complaint in 5 days. They DID NOT INVESTIGATE OR PROVIDE ME WITH ANY VERIFIABLE PROOF OF THE INVESTIGATE. This is a strict violation of FCRA laws. I need them to be held accountable for failing to comply with FCRA laws. ... Here is my previous dispute- Equifax is consistently ignoring my requests to update an account which the data furnisher has already admitted they're reporting erroneously. XXXX # XXXXreported I was late on my payment. But they had closed the account & never adjusted the accounting accurately. EQUIFAX has not done their job in verifying this information. I've contacted them numerous times over the phone as well as XXXX. The account is in good standing. EQUIFAX has failed to comply with FCRA Section 611 where they're supposed to get verifiable proof. They're also violating section 616 & 617 by willful noncomplying with FCRA laws. I need both XXXX & EQUIFAX to update their records to reflect a positive tradeline. I'm currently suffering emotional stress which is causing performance issues at my job. I need this matter handled ASAP. Please update to closed/never late. Thank you
