My mortgage was held by a company called XXXX XXXX. I took advantage of COVID forbearance and at the end was offered a modification that took my mortgage to the $ 2500/mo range . In the middle of this modification my mortgage was sold to a company called Midland Mortgage, part of Midfirst Bank ( loan number XXXX ). Midland is either completely clueless or, I suspect, is actually trying to deny me the modification I am entitled to through the various federal COVID relief programs. My last mortgage statement was only showing an escrow amount of {$230.00}. This is insufficient to cover my PMI, homeowners insurance ( $ XXXX ) and property taxes ( over $ 8000/yr ). When talking to them they said my actual mortgage payment is going to be nearly $ 3000/mo. I can not afford that and it is contrary to the documents I had already signed with the previous mortgage holder for the modification down to {$2500.00}. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was just transferred around among other tellers and left on extremely long holds. They clearly were just trying to wear me down. Again, it is my belief that this nonsense represents an intentional attempt to deny me relief that I am entitled to from the federal COVID relief.
