My husband died in XX/XX/2019. He had brought a new XXXX and I had cosigned for him. When he died, I got in touch with Pentagon Federal Credit Union and sent them his death certificate and XXXX and told them I could not afford to keep the truck. They told me to sell it, I told them I needed them to take the truck back. Of course I could not sell it, I didn't know anything about that. I explained to them. I barely had enough money to bury him. Finally they asked me to submit to them all of my bills and daily expenses. I did that and I heard from them that the debt had been forgiven. Later, I saw on my credit report that there was a XXXX deficit and that it had been put on my credit as a bad debt that had been charged off account. Account balance was reported as a loss by creditor, I called the several times, because after I did everything they had asked, why were they putting it on my report. I WAS TOLD THEY HAD NOT ASKED ME TO SUBMIT ANY INFORMATION AND THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT. Every since, I have been screwed. There is nothing I can say to them because they deny what they asked me to do, now I am trying to buy a house and this is on my report and if needs to be taken off my report. CALLING AND TALKING TO THEM HAS NOT WORKED. I need this cleared up and off my credit report.
