On XXXX XXXX we made an in branch withdrawal of {$500.00} and received {$500.00}. About a month later on XX/XX/2022 Wells Fargo automatically deducted another {$500.00} stating the {$500.00} withdrawal was cashed for {$1000.00}. This is false. A week later I received a letter with a phone number to call for questions. I called on XX/XX/2022 to file a dispute and research request. I never heard back. I called again on XX/XX/2022 and provided the reference number. The representative stated a dispute/research request was not filed. A new research request was submitted with a promised resolution of no later than XX/XX/2022. I did not receive a resolution. I called on XX/XX/2022 and was told there was no resolution and was transferred several times and provided several not working phone numbers. The new case manager advised me to call the branch to dispute the withdrawal and provided me with the phone number of a branch in another state. I explained to him that it is the wrong branch ( out of state ) and he insisted that it is the right branch to contact. I tried calling the actual branch several times and no one picked up. My final call resulted in the research team escalating my case and promising a call be Thursday XX/XX/2022. A bank should not be able to unilaterally deduct money from accounts without cause.
