On XX/XX/XXXX, Equifax received a request to reinvestigate accounts based on results received from a previous dispute on XX/XX/XXXX. I asked Equifax to provide the names, phone numbers and business addresses of each individual with whom you verified the above accounts and the exact description of the procedure used to verify the accounts. According to 15 USC 1681i, Equifax is required to provide the description within 15 days after receiving the request. Equifax did not fulfill this requirement. 15 U.S. Code 1681i - Procedure in case of disputed accuracy ( 7 ) Description of reinvestigation procedure A consumer reporting agency shall provide to a consumer a description referred to in paragraph ( 6 ) ( B ) ( iii ) by not later than 15 days after receiving a request from the consumer for that description.
