I was not able to pay my debt to Discover Bank Credit Card. I tried to work with them to get the interest rate reduced and a payment plan that I could afford but they were not reasonable. On XX/XX/2021 I recieved form 1099C cancelling and forgiving my debt to Discover Bank. Since this form is reported to the IRS as income, I do not owe the debt of. {$6300.00} to Discover Bank anymore and they need to report to all three credit reporting agencies that I no longer owe this debt and the status should change from charge off to cancelled with XXXX owed. This debt forgiveness substantially reduces my overall debts and aids me in repairing my credit. NOTE : I did NOT declare bankrupcy.
