I applied for an FHA refi with RP Funding FLORIDA. They took the application, locked the rate, collected the funds for appraisal and this was completed. Weeks later the loan officer sent me a screen shot of a XXXX. It was from the XXXX from a disaster XXXX loan in 2016. Told me they were cancling my application and reapply if i ever pay it off. This was discharged in XXXX. I sent the XXXX docs. I contacted the XXXX whom drafted a letter that the loan was discharged and in a charge off status, they wrote a letter that this is an acceptable per the credit act and I also contacted HUD. They stated charge off is an acceptable status and that the lender should continue worh my application. I have not gotten a missing items letter or anything. They took the appraisal money, and told me to come back. HUD Also stated that a lender can not deny based solely off of XXXX for a disaster loan in a charge off status. They are giving me verbal denials and still caling thr loan delinquent when it's not, it's charge off. They won't allow me to talk to legal or compliance team. Only loan officers call back. Not legal.
