On XX/XX/2022 I went to Experian.com to request a FREE Credit Report. Once I submitted the request the website asked me for my credit card information. The website said my credit card was needed but was not going to be charged for anything since I was only asking for a FREE credit report. I went ahead an submitted my information and got my free credit report. On XX/XX/2022, I woke up from an email alert sent by XXXX XXXX notifying me of a purchase made without my card being present. I went ahead and checked my XXXX app and saw a pending charge of {$24.00} from XXXX. I had not used this card in several weeks so I immediately went online to check who this company was and after a XXXX search it came out that it was Experian. I immediately called my credit card company, XXXX XXXX, to notify them of this fraudulent charge. I did not sign up for anything through Experian and only requested their FREE credit report so this should have never been charged to my account. I went ahead and checked my Experian account and saw that my account had been changed to a $ XXXX service. Again, I never agreed to this when submitting my credit card information and Experian said my credit card would never be charge for their free services. I had to change my account back to a free account. Again, I had never changed my account and Experian did it themselves without my permission.
