I was charged an annual fee of {$59.00} on XXXX XXXX, 2022 for the Capital One XXXX credit card. On XX/XX/2022, XXXX days after the annual fee posted. I called a representative to request cancellation my card and refund of the annual fee. Per the terms of the card, the annual fee can be refunded if the card is cancelled fewer than XXXX days after it posts on the account. The representative proceeded to close the account and assured that the fee would be refunded. On XXXX XXXX, 2022, I noticed that my account was still open and the annual fee was still being charged. I called a representative to inquire about this, and they said that they will no longer be able to refund the fee as it has been more than 40 days after the fee posted. The credit card account had also not been closed. There is evidence on my account that I called on XXXX XXXX, 2022 as a {$0.00} XXXX XXXX points redemption posted on my account. This is a redemption that I can not make on my own as there is a minimum point redemption amount that is greater than {$0.00}. The agent made this redemption at the time. The screenshot is attached. There is also evidence on my phone of an outgoing call to ( XXXX ) XXXX, the Capital One customer service number, on XX/XX/XXXX during which I first attempted to close the account and obtain a refund of the annual fee.
