Consumer Narrative
On XX/XX/2022, I filed a complaint against Equifax about inaccurate and re-aged information on my credit report involving XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, and XXXX because they failed to investigate and delete these inaccurate accounts. The information i provided in my dispute was factual data pulled directly from my credit report, and yet they still responded to me stating that the information has been verified as accurate, which is a lie. Because if you look at the information I provided, you could see the blatant inaccuracies I complained about. It's plain as day. For example, on the XXXX XXXXXXXX account, How can I be 120 days late on a paid closed account? I mean, the account is PAID. The account is CLOSED. So how am I 120 days late. It doesn't make any sense. And this applies to the four XXXX accounts as well. The XXXX accounts say i'm 120 days late, but they are also closed and paid. Bottom line, an inaccurate account can not be found accurate. It's a total contradiction. Furthermore, I just received their response in the mail regarding my recent complaint stating that their investigation into these accounts is complete and that my credit profile has been updated. The only thing they did in regards to my credit report is update my personal information. The problem here is, I didn't ask for my personal information to be updated, nor was that my reasoning for dispute. They did no investigation into the accounts i disputed. The same information is still there. Even the accounts themselves weren't updated, which goes to show me that NOTHING was actually done nor investigated. In other words, their response is a bold face lie, and i want something done about it. There is no way i can give you proof of something, in black and white, and you just ignore it as if it doesn't exist. This is completely UNFAIR, and i want the accounts deleted from my credit report immediately.
