The company has failed to verify or prove to me that this debt is mine and to even indicate I have ever allowed Capital One to open an account under my name with an address I've never been associated with before nor did I have any of these companies any written nor verbal authorization to open an account falsely under my name. I have not lived in NY for nearly a decade as I've been living in Michigan. Yet Capital One and this collection agency is falsely trying to collect a debt that isn't mine and was resulted from identity theft. It's the company responsibility to ensure that the account was opened under my authorization only and not without my knowledge or approval.
