I have called, faxed, and emailed the bureaus ( the one that would accept emails ). In my letter dated XX/XX/XXXX I requested that each bureau investigate the fraud that has gone on with my file. I called 2 weeks later to follow up XXXX said that they refused to investigate because " They didn't believe I was disputing '' who else would go through this much XXXX for me is what I said '' The representative for Equifax said they had no record of the dispute even though I sent the dispute certified they then tried to sell me their product for {$29.00} so that I can avoid this happening again with no discussion about a remedy to the dispute. I then called XXXX and they just flat out lied and said that they don't see it on my file and they would investigate but it takes 90-120 days. I have now read all that I can regarding identify theft and I now realize that the BIG 3 bureaus are probably the ones doing all the stealing who else has the time? So in conclusion all 3 Bureaus basically told me they are not going to do anything and that if I paid them {$29.00} this may not happen to me again. What a Joke our system has become thank XXXX for XXXX XXXX XXXX hopefully he will FINE them back into true Consumer Agencies and not for profit business that dont give a darn about the American Citizens
