I have been disputing an erroneous collection account initiated by XXXX XXXX XXXX and reported to all XXXX credit bureaus in XXXX of 2021 by XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have requested at least XXXX independent investigations and additionally, per Section 611 ( a ) of the FCRA, I sent a letter requesting they provide the information they used to make their determination. I never received any results-they only tell me it's been updated with no validation of the debt provided to me. I have sent certified mail on every occasion and have never received any written response as I've requested. Furthermore, I have been successful in removing the same entry from XXXX as well as XXXX. Moreover, I've been contacted by XXXX XXXX ( the original creditor ) via email indicating they too have requested the entry be removed as it was never to have been reported as such. In fact, they have even finally agreed to return monies owed to me since XX/XX/2021. I'm requesting Equifax do the correct thing and remove this entry from my credit IMMEDIATELY. The consequences of the drop in credit rating and the reporting of this erroneous debt has been devastating-causing my rating to drop some XXXX points in one agency. I take pride in maintaining a very healthy credit score and as such have always paid my bills on time-such is reflected without this entry. Again, this debt has never been validated despite my continued disputes and requests for reinvestigation. The credit reporting agencies are NOT DOING THEIR JOBS!
