I had a revolving account with XXXX XXXX that unfortunately due to loss of employment I was unable to maintain. On XXXX I settled the account in good faith. XXXX XXXX XXXX updated the account as settled within 2 weeks as " {$0.00} balance past due '', after XXXX XXXX reported the settlement. Equifax did not update their records. When I initially reached out to Equifax they informed me its up to the original creditor & advised that I reach back out to XXXX XXXX to correct this issue. Following the advice I reached back out to XXXX XXXX & the general manager manually sent the 2'nd update to Equifax on XXXX. I waited over a week with no response from Equifax, I called them again to simply update the account & they refused. I disputed the XXXX XXXX account with Equifax for the same reason as stated above " balance not reporting accurately '' I could not upload the letter of my successful settlement on the Equifax website, so I faxed the document over twice & sent it by regular snail mail. Equifax still refuses to correct their reporting. I thought the system was built on truth and accuracy. I am a few points short of obtaining a mortgage for me & my family, Equifax is making sure me and my family stay XXXX
