on XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX, I sent certified letters to XXXX XXXX to the mailing address listed on my credit report, in an attempt to pay a debt that was listed on my credit report in exchange for validation of the debt in the form of a signed contract or the original instrument of debt. I received no response from the company. The company did not inform me the alleged debt had been sold or transferred. I submitted a dispute with the credit bureaus, which did not result in a change of reporting. Although XXXX XXXX did not respond to me, the company continued to verify with the XXXX major credit bureaus. I was dissatisfied with the investigation of the credit bureaus, therefore, on XX/XX/XXXX, I submitted a complaint with cfpb ( Complaint numbers XXXX : XXXX, XXXX : XXXX ), regarding the reporting of the unverified debt for XXXX XXXX. After submitting a complaint with cfpb the following happened. XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX filed suit against me in the Circuit XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for the unverified debt for which I have requested a copy of the contract. XXXX. I reached out to the company, and they did not inform me the alleged debt had been sold/transferred. XXXX. The new owners of the alleged debt did not contact me to inform me they were in possession of the debt to allow an opportunity for payment. XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX - Upon investigation by XXXX, XXXX XXXX was unable to verify the debt, and was removed from my XXXX credit report. XXXX. XXXX XXXX continues to report unverified account information to XXXX and XXXX. XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX - I learned the alleged debt had been transferred/sold to XXXX. XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) because a process server left the court documents between the bars of my storm door. The documents were not covered, publicly revealing my personal information to the public ; violating XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX ( The video of the processor leaving documents in the door has been attached ), in addition to XXXX rules regarding debt collection. After further research on the company, I have found that the company routinely purchases junk debt, and sues consumers without verify any information about the debt. In addition, the company seems to attach a general contract document as proof of the debt without endorsements or signatures of the person for which they are suing. XXXX. XXXX. -I has not attempted to contact me regarding the unverified debt. They are not listed on my credit report. I have not received a debt validation letter via mail or any other process of notification. I haven't received any phone calls from the company. There is no way to get into contact with them, yet the company has filed a suit against me the very same day that I submitted a cfpb complaint for the reporting of the unverified debt to credit bureaus. That seems extremely suspicious. This is not the first time for which XXXX-I has violated the Federal Debt Collection Practices Act. They were sued for doing so in XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX.
