After several attempts to pull my credit report from the three credit bureaus, my mortgage lender was able to successfully pull credit reports from XXXX and XXXX. He was unable to pull my credit report from Equifax, however, because it was flagged with a fraud warning. After calling Equifax on XX/XX/2022 to get it straightened out, I had to call two separate departments to verify my identity. One department could not help, but another could. The helpful department assured me that they removed their fraud warning, and it should be ok. My lender tried pulling my Equifax account and was still unable to do so. I called Equifax again on XX/XX/XXXX, and I was in contact with a manager. He claimed that my address or name was likely incorrect with my mortgage lender and to correct his mistake. After confirming with my lender that everything was correct and complete, he was again prohibited from pulling my Equifax credit report. After four business days and four separate unsuccessful attempts, he again asked me to call Equifax to release the information. We eventually spoke with XXXX XXXX employee XXXX ), who told us he was a manager with Equifax. He again told me there was no problem with my account, and there was no freeze on their end. Despite our best efforts to explain the severity and impact of the situation, he refused to help us in any way. Of course, our lender still can not pull a hard credit report. We dont know what else to do as the Equifax manager assured us he was the highest point of contact. We are extremely disappointed with the handling of this situation, and we have been put in a very difficult situation as we can not be approved for a home loan without this step. We have watched at least two houses go by without being able to put in an offer.
