I talked to Monterey Financial today about a debt I have with a timeshare maintenance fees for a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have not seen written communication about this or had the ability to dispute this. I called them back today XXXX. They said the amount was {$5700.00} and this showed up on my credit report today via XXXX XXXX In the call they told me, my credit will continue to be impacted. They advised I open a credit card to pay this off. XXXX said I can't settle or pay them directly but Monterey said XXXX owns the debt and they can't settle. It seems they are in cahoots and taking advantage of me.
