We have been paying our credit card for over five years and were recently alerted that we have been taken to a small claims court. We have contacted the attorney representing them, contacting American Express ( said they are researching it ) and contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX ( nonprofit counseling service ) who pays our credit card bills. It has been several weeks of contacting all three companies and even just sent the attorneys screenshots/proof from Amex 's website clearly showing 14 consecutive monthly payments ( see attached ) from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX with no missed payments. This is clearly an abuse of power and very unethical for a bank to have this type of power without any type of reasoning and or proof for arbitration. We need the federal government to assist us with this great abuse of power from this bank.
