I filed a complaint with CFPB in XX/XX/XXXX with hopes that I could stop a foreclosure sale on my home. I was previously under XXXX. XXXX bankruptcy but it was dismissed because I could no longer keep up with my plan payments. I also filed for a loan modification with PHH in XX/XX/XXXX. I phoned PHH and got an appointment with my relationship manager, XXXX XXXX. The foreclosure sale was halted and I consulted with a realtor to put my house on the market to sale it. I moved my items out of my home to have a few repairs done that my realtor suggested. Within a month of my home being on the market, I went to my house and I received a notice on my door from a company called XXXX XXXX XXXX. Apparently PHH hired them because my home was vacant. They had no way to confirm my home was vacant. I had a cash offer on my home but the offer was taken back after the notice from XXXX was put on my door and railings. The language on the letter stated I could not enter my home with calling XXXX. I filed a complaint through the XXXX against XXXX XXXX XXXX. The company responded to the complaint stating they were hired by PHH to secure my home because of delinquency on my account ( see attachment ). On Wednesday XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX broke into my home while I was not there and did something to my door locks. I plan to seek legal counsel for unlawful entry into my home. That is an illegal practice. PHH denied my loan modification and would not even allow to apply for a forbearance and I was not offered a repayment plan to help bring my account out of delinquent status. With all the government programs in place to help homeowners avoid foreclosure they have not helped me at all. PHH Mortgage is deceptive in their actions in helping me keep my home.
