I discovered my Avant credit card issued by XXXX missing from my wallet after I logged into my online account and saw six unauthorized transactions. I immediately called Avant customer service on XX/XX/XXXX to report my credit card lost, and to have a claim filed for the unauthorized transactions. I told the customer service representative that the card was lost, but I didn't remember the last time I saw the card, or, at what location the card was lost. The claim was made and submitted to Fraud Management Services. I then received a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX, which informed me that I couldn't be reached by phone, and that I needed to call the Office of Fraud , Research, and Investigations at XXXX Ext. XXXX. The letter stated that information was needed to investigate the alleged fraudulent use of the credit card. I left a voicemail for the representative investigating my case at the extension above, and the voicemail greeting said my call would be returned within 24 hours. However, I didn't receive a call. Nevertheless, I did receive a second letter dated XX/XX/XXXX, which stated Avant had begun a review of the fraud claim, and I would be contacted if additional information was needed to resolve the disputed charges. A third letter dated XX/XX/XXXX was received, and had the same wording as the XX/XX/XXXX letter informing me that I couldn't be reached by phone, and that I needed to call the same phone number and extension as above. Also, the letter stated that I needed to respond by XX/XX/XXXX. I left two voicemails, and I did receive one voicemail from the case worker on XX/XX/XXXX. I returned the call on XX/XX/XXXX, and then made numerous calls through XXXX, leaving a voicemail each time, but never received a return call. The last letter I received from Avant was dated XX/XX/XXXX, which indicated I had notified Avant of suspected unauthorized transactions on the account in the amount of {$480.00}. The investigation was completed, and there was a determination that the transactions were authorized and valid based on the information received in the investigation. Therefore, the transactions would be re-debited to the account and appear on the next statement. Since receiving that letter, I've left four voicemails at the same number and extension, but haven't received a reply. I've enclosed all the correspondence letters received from Avant, and the statement showing the disputed transactions.
