Consumer Narrative
I was a victim of Identity Theft and have filed reports. XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX threatened to kidnap my XXXX child and forced me to give them my credit card information, logins, etc. I filed FTC report and Police Report. XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX XXXX wrote off the debt but discover has charged it off to me and sent me a 1099 C for cancelled debt. Discover wrote off $ XXXX in debit and over $ XXXX in interest. I sent discover letters in XXXX and XX/XX/2019 that this is identity theft and they continue. I should not have the tax burden of protected charges under identity theft.
