Upon opening a personal and business checking. Huntington froze my personal checking account. I am a traveling XXXX and travel all over the US in the fight against COVID so am rarely home or near the branch. I found out my personal account was " frozen '' when my direct deposit was returned. It has now been almost 4 months since I was told repeatedly that the account would be closed and I would receive a refund check for my funds in the account. However I still can not get them to send a check, and they are instead placing low account balance service fees on the account. I told them I want the business checking closed as well - even though there is no issue with it - due to this incompetence and instead I get a sorry we can not close it via the phone or any other method than the branch. I find this unacceptable also since I am on the west coast on a travel assignment for a XXXX I want the fee 's refunded on the personal checking, and {$1000.00} approximately returned in that account. I also want my personal consulting business checking under my name closed as well ( it has a 0 balance ). I am ready to contact legal counsel.
