This vehicle is actually my daughter 's. I originally was only supposed to be a cosigner. The beginning of XXXX I got an alert from my credit monitoring that a late payment was reported. I immediately made contact with Flagshit credit acceptance llc to find out what was going on. They informed me a payment was passed due 30 days. They informed me I was the primary on the loan but they did not have my contact information. I made all the payments to get the loan back to current. I then asked well if I'm primary why have I not been contacted about the late payment? They had no actual answers and just kept referring me to other departments. These departments have no direct contact for me to explain my case. I've emailed them and was assured they would make steps to correct my problem. They then told me their investigation found that they reported correctly. ( they said this to my disputes with credit bureaus as well ) my problem is how can it be accurate reporting when they aren't willing to admit to the credit bureaus that they some how didn't contact me as the primary loan holder? I have been back and forth with them for going on XXXX months about this and all they keep saying is they won't do a courtesy with draw of the reported late payment. My position is I'm not asking for a courtesy. I'm asking them to correctly identify that they did not contact the primary loan holder when the payment was in danger of being late. I would like to have the late payment with drawn as it was there loss of my information that led to them not contacting me. If I am truly the primary the fact that they spoke to anyone but me was a mistake on their part. The credit bureaus have taken over XXXX points from my score over this and flagship doesn't care that their mistake is causing me real life issues. I appreciate CFPB getting involved in assisting me with what very well seems like a violation of the fair credit reporting act. I say this because for them not admitting their clerical issue and that they never reported that part to the credit bureaus then they have not reported accurately.
