Consumer Narrative

I spoke with Discover reps yesterday, XXXX, was advised accounts are closed, checking account overdrawn in the amount of $ XXXX including returned item in the amount of {$690.00}. This item is a check issued from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, mentioend in prior CFPB complaint ( XXXX ), a relative deposited check into account under his name. It appears the relative made a claim for this amount with issuing bank, XXXX XXXX, whom in turn investigated item and was returned back to them as of yesterday, XXXX. I spoke with a XXXX XXXX with XXXX XXXX to verify return, was told it was not returned, it was denied... I then reached back out to Discover, was told funds were returned to XXXX XXXX, which does not match up with information provided by XXXX XXXX
