I recently was informed that my employer provides payroll data to Equifax ( XXXX. The Work Number ) for the purpose of employment verification. I checked the most recent credit report I have from Equifax and did not see any such data in the report. I called Equifax and spoke to a supervisor in their dispute department who stated that the only information they have about me is what is in my credit report, and therefore the credit report comprised the entirety of the information in my file. I believe that they do have employment data about me, that said information is included in the definition of " file '' under the XXXX and that the credit report request process is their only public mechanism for requesting a copy of my " file '' under the XXXX
