On XX/XX/XXXX I received an email from MyIDCare alerting me to a credit inquiry dated XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I reached out to XXXX and started a case number XXXX and was told that the Inquiry conducted by XXXX XXXX XXXX was on behalf of XXXX XXXX XXXX. I immediately checked my freezes that I knew I had in place with Experian, XXXX, and XXXX. It turns out that my Experian freeze had somehow been lifted from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX and I had Experian reinstate it. The activity in question was effectively halted. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX, NA, reference number XXXX, stating that I had an application pending for a XXXX XXXX Credit Card and that they require more more information from me. I called them to state that I had never made such an application. They aborted the application and flagged it as fraud. On XX/XX/XXXX I filed a police report with the XXXX, NY police department ; police report number XXXX with Officers XXXX ( XXXX ) and XXXX ( XXXX ).
