I was selling a bedroom set on XXXX on XX/XX/2021 XXXX reached out to me via XXXX about buying it she stated My company just posted me to your neighbor hood due to job promotion, I am moving in soon but i would like my movers to pick up the Item so they can take to my new house prior my arrival. If that's okay by you. She also stated My Husband really likes it, and the price you're requesting seems reasonable. I'll be paying with a Certified Check, Once you receive and confirm the payment clear in your account, Then i'll have my movers come to pick up the item Would take you for your word that it's in a good condition. I asked her Okay, and just to make sure you know were located in XXXX Nevada she then stated I will send to your email full FRONT copy and BACK copy of check to your email address So you could deposit it Via Mobile app while you take the pic from the printed check when it ask you to take pics of the check as its simple, save and secure and pretty fast and I will also have my banker process, verify and clear the funds and you should have amount in your balance. She continued to send me a fraudulent check with someone else name on it which I didnt know was fraud until my bank had ran the check after it was deposited and payments had been paid back to her because she decided she wasnt moving down here for work one payment or {$1100.00} was made out of that check to the Movers that were going to be moving her items. I told her you guys need to reach out again and get an answer. She said they can only inform them of the scam attached to those payments then they have to wait for a reply I asked if there was anything else we could do to get the money back and get my account positive since it was fraud. She stated no I wasnt sent anything from the bank stating that my claims had been closed and that they had a resolution already. I was told that today by the banker I spoke to after being transferred 4 times to different departments
