My name is XXXX XXXX and I am filing this complaint against Equifax for violating my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. During a reinvestigation, pursuant to 15 U.S.C. 1681i ( 7 ) of the FCRA, I was supposed to receive a description of the procedure used to determine the accuracy and completeness of the information on my credit file from Equifax no later than 15 days after receiving my request for that description. I requested a description of the procedures used to determine the accuracy and completeness of the information reporting to my file through CFPB complaint numbers XXXX, XXXX, XXXX and by certified mail # XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. It is now XX/XX/XXXX, and I have not received anything from Equifax regarding this matter. It is my belief that no such records exist and my right to privacy has been violated for profit. My financial reputation is being ruined due to Equifaxs blatant disregard for federal law. It is my belief that Equifax feels comfortable committing blatant violations of the FCRA because they know the CFPB wont enforce the laws set forth by congress as shown time and time again. Equifax has caused me sleepless nights, stress, XXXX and XXXX due to its profits over the law mentality. Pursuant to 15 U.S.C. 1681i ( 5 ) ( A ) If after any reinvestigation any information disputed by a consumer is found to be inaccurate or incomplete or can not be verified, the consumer reporting agency shall promptly delete that item of information from the file of the consumer.
