My name changed - I reached out to Capital One to have this updated via phone. The other credit card companies updated the information w/o any issue. For the last several months Capital One has been giving me the run around. I sent in a copy of the new social security card. They updated the last name but refused to change the first then froze my account citing possible fraud. Each time I called a rep requested I upload a photo of my ID in real time. However each time although it shows uploaded successfully on my side- the reps never seemed to receive it. This has happened at least a half dozen times if not more.
