I was offered pandemic assistance in the form of forbearance, which I took starting in XX/XX/XXXX. I was under the assumption we would be able to move any payments not made to the end of our loan. We took the entire extension offered of 18 months. XX/XX/XXXX I submitted an application on the website to do a loan modification. I checked the next day and it seemed to no longer be there, so I submitted another request. I checked back nearly daily. It came back denied, due to a previous modification, that had been made more then 12 months ago. On XX/XX/XXXX, I submitted another request for a loan modification. It was denied on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called and talked to our loan representative. She said we could do a deferral of payments on the ones we missed and they would be added to the end of our loan. She said I should make our normal mortgage payment as planned. On XX/XX/XXXX, I logged in to make the payment. It said I was denied for the federal and I could not make a payment at all on line. I tried called the representative I spoke to directly-I got her voicemail. I talked to someone else, who was extremely hard to understand ( he was muffled-I asked him more then once to unmuffle ) for an hour. I came out of the phone call with no resolution. I guess the deferral was denied because it would take 30 days and at that point I would be 19 months behind on my loan, even though I was told to make a payment XX/XX/XXXX. I called my representative again and left a voicemail after the hour long phone call with the other agent. At this point, there is 4 days left of the month ( 2 business days ) and Im not sure whats going to happen. I dont know if foreclosure proceedings have started, I dont know if I can try to pay the forbearance payments over the course of 6-12 months on top of a regular mortgage. I have no resolution or actions to take. It takes at least 24 hours for someone to get back to me. While I understand its a business and there are other people in line, I should be able to talk to someone who could actually help me.
