I opened a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX credit card and a checking account overdraft line of credit on XX/XX/XXXX. At the time, I was working and healthy and could repay this credit obligation. In XXXX I became ill and unable to work and meet my credit obligations. Ultimately this account closed and then charged off into collections. When I could return to work and start repaying my financial commitments, I arranged a payment plan with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I informed XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX that the balance would be paid in full, and I would not accept a settlement as the debit was mine, and I believe in repaying what I owe. Having said all that, I followed thru on the payment plan making restitution in full. Right before my last payment, I confirmed that once the account was paid in full, the adverse monthly reporting of the account would stop, and it would read as account closed, paid in full on my credit report. I have disputed both of these accounts numerous times with the credit reporting agencies ; each time getting an update that says the accounts are reporting correctly. Then I get a nasty letter directly from a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX employee named XXXX XXXX. This individual refuses to return phone calls and based on her letters calling my request " frivolous '' in nature is unacceptable and just plain mean and punitive.
