My husband I have a mortgage with Wells Fargo. We got behind on our mortgage in XXXX but made a payment to catch every month up in XXXX, XXXX except one month ( XX/XX/XXXX payment ), This happened right before our home loan went into deferment in XX/XX/XXXX due to a XXXX XXXX hardship. I made the XX/XX/XXXX payment in XXXX, XXXX. We currently owe nothing on our home loan with Wells Fargo for months prior to the date Wells Fargo granted a deferment ( XX/XX/XXXX ). However Wells Fargo has the loan reported as delinquent at XXXX days late on my credit report. Actually they have reported XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX as not current and then nothing is reported after that. So when reviewing my credit report it shows the loan as not current and sitting at XXXX days late. I reviewed the credit laws surrounding the CARES Act and it states if the loan is made current during the deferment then the mortgage company must report this to the credit bureaus. I disputed it with XXXX and they investigated and did nothing. They would change nothing on my credit report. We are currently going through a loan modification process with Wells Fargo so the loan is not delinquent and should not be reported as such on my credit report. I am asking your agency to investigate this issue and make Wells Fargo report my mortgage loan correctly as required by the CARES Act. Their actions have damaged my credit and I can not qualify for a loan with any business at this time. It has been this way for over a year now.
