I refinanced my home with Mutual of Omaha with the first payment due XX/XX/XXXX. My escrow is in my mortgage. The end of XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter my escrow was short. Since I had been with them for only 6 month and the funds were still being collected into my escrow. I had to send them a check for {$1200.00} with is more than my insurance, {$1000.00} or more than one year of taxes $ XXXXPlus they increased by payment by {$20.00} for an additional {$240.00} I contacted them and explained based on the current escrow about and they remaining payments I was covered. I have not been with them a year and how can they determine is XXXX short. The taxes have been paid but insurance is due XX/XX/XXXX which basically I paid when I sent them the check. My current balance is {$970.00} with insurance due XX/XX/XXXX and taxes XX/XX/XXXX. So taxes and insurance total {$2500.00} and I sent them {$1200.00} and the increase of my payment is an additional {$240.00} totaling {$1400.00}. Just doesn't seem correct.
