On XX/XX/XXXX I applied for a secured credit card through XXXX XXXX. After my application, I discovered my twin brother 's credit file is showing on my credit report. I contacted XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and they explained I would need to mail in information to verify my identity, however they did not specify all the documents I would actually need. I mailed the information on XX/XX/XXXX. I never received any confirmation so I called XXXX again on XX/XX/XXXX and they assured me it would be fixed in five to ten business days. I reapplied for the secured cc and discovered my credit file had still not been corrected. Today on XX/XX/XXXX my banker and I called XXXX after being transferred multiple times and hung up on just to find out there were no notes or updates on my credit file. I would have to resend the documents and call again for an update in five to seven business days. I also tried to contact Experian and XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX did not allow me to speak with a representative due to the call volume being too high and advised me to call back later. I tried to dispute my credit file online with Experian online and by calling on XX/XX/XXXX but was not given the option to actually correct my credit file. I have been told this is a common error but not my error, to begin with. I just want to fix my credit file so I can start building my credit. This has been a major inconvenience and I have not been helped in any compacity by any of these credit bureaus. I am starting to feel defeated and possibly am being discriminated against by me being a young XXXX American man.
